My Crib Rocks Big Push for Alder Hey Children's Charity

We are absolutely delighted to announce that we will be supporting the Alder Hey Children's Charity with a forthcoming charity extravaganza this September.

The children's hospital has been serving the families of Liverpool and beyond for more than a hundred years. To give back and show our appreciation for this amazing institution, which is close to the hearts of so many of our customers, we will be hosting the ‘My Crib Rocks Big Push in association with Stokke' on Sunday 27th September in Stanley Park.

The charity event will see parents, friends, grandparents and other supporters pushing a range of prams and wheelchairs around a mile-long course in the park, raising funds for the Alder Hey Children's Charity as they go.

The Entertainment

To get everyone ready for some serious fundraising, there will be a DJ at the course playing some superb old-skool dance tunes for the adults and some party hits for the little ones. Bay TV favourite Ellie Phillips will be hosting the event and make sure everyone is energised and entertained. After the walk, there will be plenty of fantastic family entertainment for everyone to enjoy, including a mini-festival zone with plenty of delicious food and refreshments.

The Big Push will be a really fantastic day out for everyone and will raise much-needed funds for a beloved local charity at the same time. Alder Hey is relocating shortly to a new site, and the funds raised by the Big Push will help to go towards this redevelopment, funding cutting-edge medical equipment and helping to upgrade the facilities for patients and their families.

The Land of Remarkable People

Alder Hey Hospital is known as the 'land of remarkable people' and has long been managed by a hugely committed team of medical professionals and volunteers who transform average days into extraordinary ones through their hard work and dedication. Times that can be particularly challenging for a child become filled with love, support and real care in an environment where young patients are allowed to heal, play and smile again.

Cath Harding, Head of Community Fundraising for Alder Hey, said:

"Alder Hey Children's Charity are delighted to be the chosen charity for the Big Push. All monies raised will help to provide vital equipment, research and facilities such as parent beds in our brand new hospital, Alder Hey in the Park. Thank you for making a real difference to the lives of the 275,000 children treated at Alder Hey every year."

Get Involved

We are lucky enough to have been given support from both the local community, Merchant Taylor's Schools and international support from Joolz and Stokke.

So we are really hoping to see as many of our customers, friends and their networks down at the Big Push this September in Stanley Park. Please get involved and invite everyone you know and get that fundraising going for an amazing cause. You can follow the event's preparations on Twitter at: @MCRBigPush and #MyCribRocksBigPush

We are asking everyone to raise at least £10 a person. Tickets are £10 for an adult and children under 16 will go free.
